A stick vacuum is a fantastic vacuum. Unlike a regular upright vacuum, where you have to lug a big and bulky device around, and where you are very limited when it comes to mobility and freedom, stick vacuums are lightweight, easy to handle, and offer you a significant amount of freedom and versatility.
Today, there are a lot of different stick cleaners out there. Generally, there are distinct vacuum cleaners in the market when the technology has developed in the past two decades.
Many stick vacuum cleaners that were released today, utilize something known as “Smart Technology”. Smart Technology refers to various sensors placed around the vacuum cleaner and those sensors produce a lot of different data points, data points that give you a much greater understanding of what the vacuum cleaner is doing. In conjunction with these data points, you have inclined to a much greater level of control over how you use the vacuum cleaner since these sensors give you more control over the individual processes of the stick vacuum.
Today, we’re going to be looking at the Tineco PURE ONE S12, and the Dyson V8 Stick Vacuum. With the Dyson V8 Stick Vacuum, you are getting a stick vacuum that is very conventional, without any of the Smart Features that other stick vacuums are using. But, the Tineco PURE ONE S12 does have these Smart Features, and you’re going to learn all about them, as well as all about the features of the Dyson V8.
What Does The Tineco PURE ONE S12 Offer?
Right on top of the Tineco S12, there is an LED display. With the LED display, you can see all kinds of individual data points. Each data point is directly related to the functioning of the vacuum and the kinds of processes that take place at that exact moment.
Using this sensor, you can see the battery life left and see the amount of dirt and dust that was vacuumed up at that moment, like the suction power used and any alerts or errors that have come up during the vacuuming process. Glancing at this LED display, you’ll have a pretty good idea of what is happening with the vacuum, and you’ll know everything you need to know about the general vacuuming process.
As you are using a vacuum, there is a used sensor known as the “iLoop Dust Sensor”. This sensor detects the amount of dirt and dust you are vacuuming up. From this information, the iLoop Dust Sensor then adjusts the amount of suction that is used, at that moment, so that the S12 can accommodate the suction needs at that moment.
Using the sensor, the entire process of vacuuming is simplified. It makes things a lot easier since there is no need for you to adjust the suction manually based on your observations. Instead, that process is automated. But, it can adjust the suction manually, using a little slider right below the LED display, and this can be useful if you have a specific amount of suction you need.
When you are vacuuming, the dust and dirt go through a filter. This filter expels smaller particles from dirt and dust so that they don’t accidentally flow back into your air, which could become a problem. When this filter removed those particles, it cleans the filter using a self-cleaning system.
During the vacuuming process, use the Power Brush that Tineco has designed. This is an efficient Power Brush that uses two brushes, one for hard floors and one for soft floors, and it is powered by a 150W motor. For a stick vacuum, a 150W motor is quite exceptional. Using this Power Brush and motor, you aren’t having any problems cleaning just about anything.
If you want to have access to the data that the vacuum produced, without using the LED screen, there is an app that Tineco has designed, and this app transfers that data to your smartphone, making it much easier for you to access it.
The Tineco PURE ONE S12 is an excellent stick vacuum and one of the most advanced on the market. If you are willing to pay a decent chunk of change, it’s worth it!

What Does The Dyson V8 Offer?
The Dyson V8 is a great stick vacuum, as well, and the price is quite similar to that of the Tineco PURE ONE S12, but it isn’t as feature-rich as the Tineco PURE ONE S12.
Using the Dyson V8, you can clean soft and hard floors easily. The cleaning process uses fifteen individual cyclones used to conduct heavy airflow, keeping this airflow nice and consistent.
With these fifteen cyclones, you have access to a lot of power. By pressing a switch, you can easily adjust the amount of suction used, at that moment. It gives you quite a bit of flexibility, like freedom, during the vacuuming process, and if that is important to you, then the Dyson V8 is a good choice.
When you click the start button, you can turn the Dyson V8 into a handheld vacuum. Using the handheld vacuum, you can move the vacuum into smaller spaces and corners, and you can also vacuum on things like chairs and couches with incredible ease.

Ultimately, while the Dyson V8 is powerful and a very easy-to-use stick vacuum, it isn’t as feature-rich as the Tineco PURE ONE S12, it doesn’t have the same level of accessibility and efficiency as that vacuum. And, if those things are important to you, then the Tineco PURE ONE S12 is the ideal choice. If not, though, then the Dyson V8 is still a great stick vacuum.
