If there’s one brand of canister vacuum cleaners that is as close to perfection as possible, it’s Miele. Their products truly are out of this world (both quality-wise and oftentimes price-wise). Although this German brand has several budget-friendly canister vacs out there, even then you’ll need to prepare a healthy budget.
But what can we say? They’re truly worth every… single… penny.
Case in point: the Complete C2 Hard Floor Canister Vacuum. This baby-blue machine is a beast; nothing—and we mean NOTHING—can escape from the high-pressure vortex suction that the Complete C2 produces.
Let’s take a closer look at what the Complete C2 is packing to determine whether it’s worth the investment.
1200W Vortex Motor
First, let’s take a look at the heart of the Complete C2: it’s motor. There’s really nothing else like it on the market—the Complete C2 comes with a heavy-duty 1200W motor that supposedly delivers a lot more than 100 km/hour of airflow.
It goes without saying that this and other Miele canister vacuum cleaners are well-equipped to handle the toughest, nastiest, most stubborn piles of dust and small debris from floors.
Soft-Bristled Parquet Vacuum Head
Notice how the Complete C2 is marketed as a Hard Floor canister vacuum. That is intentional; inside of the box, you’ll find a large parquet vacuum head without an active (air-driven or motor-driven) brushroll. The lack of a brushroll ensures that tiled and hardwood floors are vacuum cleaned without leaving deep gashes in the process.
Unfortunately, this means that the Complete C2 is ill-designed to extract debris from carpeting. At best, it can remove surface dust, but without a brushroll, anything living near the root of each carpet fiber is there forever. Unless, of course, you decide to purchase a carpet-cleaning attachment (sold separately).
Standard 3-Piece Cleaning Tool Set
There typically isn’t anything “standard” about Miele-made canister vacuum cleaners except for this one’s 3-piece cleaning tool set. You get the typical tools for everyday spot-cleaning: a crevice tool, an integrated dusting brush, and an upholstery tool.
Simply swap out the parquet vacuum head for any one of these tools and you can start vacuuming above-ground surfaces in no time.
All three tools fit snugly in the dedicated storage compartment inside of the canister unit.
Variable Suction with 6 Speeds
But can you imagine using a vacuum cleaner that delivers upwards of 100 km/hour of airflow clean, say, drapes or other delicate surfaces? The great thing about the Complete C2 is that it isn’t a one-trick pony. On the canister, you’ll find a dial with six different speed selections.
Depending on what you’re cleaning, the Complete C2 can draw in a soft, gentle suction for delicate objects or high-speed localized hurricanes for heavy-duty cleaning. Just be sure to set the dial to the appropriate speed before turning switching it on.
Foot-Operated On/Off and Cable Rewind
Let’s be honest here: vacuuming is a chore that nobody enjoys doing. The thought of leaning down to push buttons and plug and unplug the vacuum cleaner is a nightmare on your lower back. However, thanks to the oversized on/off button, you won’t need to bend over—a simple tap of your foot will suffice.
Best of all, there’s even an auto cable rewind feature that is foot activated. Pretty “handy” eh?
4.75-quart HEPA-lined Filter Bag
The fewer interruptions there are in the middle of a deep vacuuming session, the less time you’ll spend vacuuming overall. That’s why the humungous 4.75-quart filter bag is a godsend. 33-foot Cleaning Radius from Outlet
The length of the power cord and suction hose combined gives you a wide 33-foot radius of movement starting from a wall outlet. Essentially, you can clean more of your floor without needing to unplug and re-plug the Complete C2 as frequently.
And with an extension cord, you might even be able to clean an entire floor without needing to unplug the canister vac.

Overall, there’s really nothing not to like about the Miele Complete C2, except for its lackluster performance on carpeted floors (solvable by getting the carpet cleaning attachment [sold separately]).
