The name Animal Pro+ is only befitting of the Dyson V7. This is a beast of a cordless stick vacuum that puts many, many other stick models to shame. Plus, it comes with a wide range of attachments that makes spot-cleaning a walk in the park. Let’s take a few moments to appreciate the Dyson V7 Animal Pro+ in all of its glory, shall we?
Direct-Drive Vacuum Head
Suction power can only do so much when it comes to vacuuming carpeted floors. But if the brushroll comes with stiff bristles, you can bet that the stick vac will be able to handle the stubbornest piles of dirt and hair.
The V7 uses a direct-drive vacuum head equipped with stiff bristles for digging deep and extracting embedded specks of dirt and debris from shaggy carpets, leaving your carpets as fresh and clean as the day you first brought it home.

Similar to every cordless stick vacuum on the market, the V7 uses a rechargeable battery with limited power. At most, a full-charge can provide you up to 30 minutes of continuous cleaning, and with a 3-1/2-hour charging time, the ratio can be annoying.
However, considering this is no different than most of what’s out there, you’ll learn to live with it. The actual runtime depends on cleaning mode is activated for how long and which attachment is fitted onto the end of the tool.
For the shaggiest, most dirt-filled carpets, just switch the V7 from Standard to MAX Power mode. This delivers a vortex of high-pressure air the remove every and all dirt particles in hardly any time at all. The trade-off is runtime – running MAX Power drains the battery a lot quicker, leaving you with only 6 minutes of power at most.
Wall Mounted Drop-in Dock
The wall mounted charging dock eliminates the need to dedicate floor space to the V7. All you need to do is plug the dock in, mount it onto the wall, and drop the V7 into the charging dock. Best of all, the mounting dock has enough storage space to accommodate all five cleaning tools. Now that’s handy!
Upon purchasing the V7 Animal Pro+, you’ll get up to $60-worth of Dyson cleaning tools to use wherever you see fit. This include two crevice tools (one flexible, one stiff), a mini motorized brush, a stubborn dirt brush, and a 2-in-1 combination brush.
If you need to reach high-up places, just attach one of the cleaning tools onto the end of the long shaft. If you plan on doing a bit of spot-cleaning is small spaces, remove the shaft and turn the V7 into a handheld unit. Quick and easy!
Two-Tier Radial Cyclone Filtration
Separating fine particles from large ones is essential not only for cleanup but also for keeping the stick vac running optimally for longer. The two-tier radial cyclone filter spins the collected debris, moving finer particles down into the dust cup and retaining the larger pieces in the separator.
In the end, you can reasonably expect the V7 to not shoot fine dust particles out through the exhaust.
True HEPA Filter
What makes the V7 Animal Pro+ one of the best stick vacuums is its True HEPA Filter. Such a fine mesh captures and retains microscopic particles (down to 0.3 microns) with up to 99.97% effectiveness. Common allergens like dander, dust mites, and pollen stand no chance of escaping through the HEPA Filter. Your floors and lungs will thank you.
Hygienic Dust Removal
Dumping the contents out of the 0.13-liter dust cup is a simple, hygienic process. Located near the handle is a “stick” that you pull up to lift the dust cup and separator; this opens the bottom latch where all of the collected dirt falls out into a trash bin.
To close the dust cup, bring it back by pushing the stick down and pulling the latch shut. No need to fumble with large vacuum bags or get your hands dirty by physically removing the dust cup.
Not for Bare Floors
Despite being a versatile tool due to the number of included cleaning attachments, there’s one thing it cannot do – namely, clean bare floors. The rotating brushroll on the motorized vacuum head may cause damage to floorboards and tile, so you’ll either A) need to invest in a soft-brush cleaning tool, or B) ask a sales rep at Dyson to swap out one of the five cleaning attachments for the soft-brush tool.Related Dyson Stick Vacuum Articles

Dyson vs. Shark
As you can see, there are very few downsides to using the V7 Animal Pro+ by Dyson. It’s a high-power, easy-to-maneuver stick vac that comes with more cleaning tools than you could have hoped for. The runtime is decent for a stick, even on MAX Power mode, and the inclusion of a True HEPA Filter only sweetens the deal even more.
