The PAN56MGP3 Portable Washer is one of the latest washing machines to come out of Panda’s factories. If your basement is low on floorspace or you need a washing machine to clean your delicates while on the road, the ultra-compact PAN56MGP3 might be a perfect fit for you. Read our full review below to see what this single-tub washing machine offers.

10-pound Wash Capacity
The Panda comes with a sizable tub that can hold onto as heavy as 10 pounds of laundry per wash cycle. For a portable washing machine, this isn’t the largest capacity out there, but if you’re looking for a machine to take with you on the open road, this should be more than enough.

It’s important to note that the Panda is a single-tub portable washer which means it does both washing and drying in the same tub. Additionally, this means you’ll be able to complete the same wash and dry cycle without needing to heave wet clothes out of one tub and place them in another smaller tub to spin-dry.
Stainless-Steel Tub and Agitator
While we’re on the point of the Panda’s tub, we’d also like to mention that it’s made entirely of stainless steel that’s naturally resistant to corrosion. Because it doesn’t have a self-cleaning mode, you’ll need to descale the machine or at least rinse it clean of any leftover fabric remnants from time to time.
At the base of the tub sits a 360° agitator that forces the laundry load to bash into each other to simulate manual scrubbing. The agitator of it seems pretty durable, and there haven’t been many complaints about it coming loose.
10 Wash Cycle Options
The Panda offers ten different programmable wash, rinse, and dry modes starting from delicate to tough-cleaning way. The high number of programmable cycles offers tons of versatility for cleaning an assortment of unalike clothes and fabrics, from delicate undergarments to rough-and-tough jeans. As we mentioned before, self-cleaning is not one of the available modes. The wash, rinse, and dry cycles can separately run if you prefer.

Simple Digital Controls
The Panda PAN56MGP3 comes with an electronic control panel and LED display that makes using this portable washer a breeze. By pressing a few buttons, you can customize the perfect wash and dry cycle for your clothing or choose one of the preset wash modes for a quicker start.
Compact Design
As a portable washing machine, it only makes sense that the Panda doesn’t take a tremendous amount of floor space. If your RV or laundry room doesn’t have much room to spare, you may be happy to learn that the Panda only takes 22 x 22 inches of floor space while standing 36 inches high. It shouldn’t be too difficult to find a spot to place this compact washer, right?
Installation
A portable washer should be as easy to install as it is to move around, and this is the case for the Panda PAN56MGP3. After plugging the machine into a wall outlet or portable generator, all you need to do is connect the included hose between the inlet port and a faucet.

The Panda does not have an auto-balance system, hence make sure the feet are adjusted to the correct height to keep the unit parallel to the floor. The tub itself wobbles and tilts, but this is not enough to maintain complete balance on uneven floors. Just don’t rely too much on the manual for help.
A Bit Heavy
Even though the Panda is portable in the sense that it travels easily, loading it onto your RV can be a bit of a problem. The Panda weighs a massive 51 pounds which probably doesn’t seem like much, but you’ll need an extra set of hands to help move this portable washer from place to place.
Lid “Problems”
There have been a couple of complaints about the Panda being unable to operate when the lid is open. It is pretty standard in the single-tub unit so please don’t feel discouraged about this “inconvenience.” The lid needs to shut completely for the machine to begin taking in water or the tub and agitator to spin.

Verdict: Should I Get the Panda PAN56MGP3?
As a portable washing machine, the Panda PAN56MGP3 is probably one of the best we’ve ever tried. It comes with ten different programmable wash, rinse, and dry cycles for loads of up to ten pounds, and it’s super-easy to install. It is a bit on the heavy side, but if you’re keeping it in one place, we can’t imagine why this would be a problem.

I bought this Panda washer used I’m having trouble I can’t get it to turn on
I have this washer, bought it in 2019 and constantly have problems with it now. It throws an E2 and E3 regularly during the spin cycles even when there’s no problem.
On a regular wash it does one wash and 2 rinses but the washer will end up doing 5 rinses sometimes, no error messages just abruptly stops during the spin cycle and resets the timer.
