There are several reasons why people should seriously consider investing in a steam cleaner, but the most important reason is that it’s simply safer than using harmful chemicals.
This is especially true when cleaning toys and objects that our children use regularly. Of course, this is assuming that you have one of the best steam cleaners laying around.
The McCulloch brand basically guarantees perfection when it comes to steam cleaners. We’ve already a few of their products, and this time around, we’re going to take a look at the MC1385 Deluxe Steam Cleaner.
The “Deluxe” in its name should be a dead giveaway that we’re dealing with something more than extraordinary. Let’s see if this holds.
Ultra-High 58-PSI Steam Output
At first glance, you may notice that the MC1385 is a lot bulkier than its smaller-brother counterparts (the MC1270, MC1275, and MC1375). Don’t be put off by its large size—it’s housing a beast of a motor unlike no other.

The MC1385 can deliver up to 4 bars (58 PSI) of steam that makes cleaning the toughest, stubbornest, most caked-on stains and messes a walk in the park. For the average user, 58 PSI might be overkill so you might be glad to learn that the MC1385 also features a…
Variable Steam Dial
When working delicate surfaces that might absorb water (beds, blankets, and other soft, fibrous objects), you can crank the variable steam output dial down to a more appropriate setting.
This is especially handy when steam-cleaning objects where high-pressure steam can cause damage like plastic toys.
Furthermore, by turning the steam pressure output down, you can extend how long a tankful of water can grant you. Speaking of which…
64-ounce Tank and On-Demand trigger
Not only does the MC1385 feature a larger-than-life motor, but its water tank is also nothing short of humungous. Inside this canister steam cleaner, you’ll find a massive 64-ounce water tank that, according to McCulloch reps, can provide up to two hours of continuous steam-cleaning action on its lowest output setting.

Best of all, only after 12 to 15 minutes of preheating, you can produce continuous steam. The trigger on the wand allows you to use as much or as little steam as you’d like for all sorts of surfaces and objects, granting you more time to clean with each tankful of water.
Oversized Wheels and Telescoping Handle
One look at the MC1385 and you’ll surely notice just how large its wheels are. The sheer size of its wheels should give you a clear indication that it can move effortlessly and seamlessly across all flat surfaces.
Plus, with the telescoping handle, you can keep the MC1385 in tow without needing to pick it up (except when transporting or moving between floors).
20 Accessories for Ultra-Versatility
But let’s not forget to mention just how versatile the MC1385 is. Not only does it have a variable steam dial, but it also comes with 20 cleaning tools to make your life a heck of a lot easier.

Many of these pieces are multiple of each other, but in short, you get two 16-1/2-inch extendable wands, several mopping pads and brush attachments, differently angled nozzles, and a set of brass brushes for extra oomph. All of these fits inside of the accessory net and storage bag that comes with the MC1385.
Far 28-foot Reach
Just how far can you go with the MC1385? In a literal sense, starting from any wall outlet and including the length of the extension wand, you’ll have a movement radius of 28 feet.
That’s a pretty far reach considering that the MC1385 is a steam cleaner, not a vacuum cleaner, and should help you blast steam in all corners of a room. Plugging this bad boy into an extension cord can increase your reach by several more feet if you wish to use one.

Backed by 1-year Limited Warranty
Generally speaking, a longer warranty creates trust that a product is of greater quality. However, this isn’t the case with the MC1385.
It’s backed by a 1-year manufacturer warranty to protect the accessories and motor from premature damage. Assuming you haven’t tampered with any of these components, you shouldn’t have problems receiving after-sales services from McCulloch.
