Vacuum cleaners have come a long way from being bulky, heavy, unreliable cleaning tools to being super-light and providing enough suction to pull your carpets out (not literally, of course).

Eureka Mighty Mite Canister Vacuum 3670G

Although uprights remain the most popular type of vacuum cleaner, canister vacuums are slowly making their way to the top, thanks to their magnificent cleaning performance and versatility.

In today’s post, we’re going to take a look at the Eureka 4670G Mighty Mite Corded Canister Vacuum, a canister that is truly deserving of its “Mighty” label. Read our full review of this cute black-and-yellow vac to see what we mean.

Mighty 12-amp Motor

First of all, we have to mention just how large and powerful the 3760G’s motor is. It features a beefy 12-amp motor that delivers optimal suction power starting from bare floors to medium-pile carpeting. The 3760G is specifically designed to tackle the toughest cleaning tasks in homes and garages.

Users can adjust the 3760G’s suction delivery by closing the slip ring located on the handle of the hose. This will ensure excellent vacuuming results on delicate above-ground surfaces such as drapes and bookshelves.

ALWAYS make sure that you’ve adjusted the slip ring prior to turning the tool on.

Cleaning Tools and Accessories

This canister vacuum model features the traditional three-piece cleaning tool set which includes the main non-brushroll vacuum head, a dusting brush, and a crevice tool. All of these tools attach to the end of the six-foot hose.

But that’s not all. To extend your reach beyond the six feet, Eureka threw in twin straight extension wands. No cobweb in the corner of high ceilings is safe when you’ve got two wands to maximize your cleaning range. Finally, there’s the angled wand to help suction any dust and debris hiding in hard-to-reach places.

That’s versatility and convenience you can rely on.

Triple-Seal, Easy-Dump Dust Bag

The 3760G is a bagged model that stores all collected dust and debris into a dust bag. The bag itself is lined with three filter layers to prevent the finest dust particles from leaking out and flying into the air via the vacuum’s exhaust port.

Disposing the bag is as simple as opening the canister unit, removing the bag, closing it, and tossing it away. If you notice a significant drop in suction pressure, it’s time to replace the bag with a new one, even if it’s not completely filled.

Blower Port

Not many canister vacuums can say they have a blower, but the 3760G is no ordinary canister. On the rear end of the unit is a blower port where users can connect the suction hose to deliver an outflow of air to push dead leaves and other debris away. This will be especially helpful during the autumn season when dead leaves somehow find their way into your garage.

Cord Storage

The 3760G comes with a long 20-foot power cord that allows a wide movement radius from each outlet. This translates into fewer interruptions, more time vacuuming, and finishing the painstaking task of maintaining floor cleanliness more efficiency.

On the belly of the canister unit are two hooks where the cord wraps around to prevent damage.

Cheap Plastic Hose

The one major complaint people have about the 3760G is its suction hose. It appears to be made of a cheap plastic that can end up tearing when stored, bent, or tugged.

This is quite the disappointment since most of the time, users will try to make use of its oversized rear casters by pulling on the suction hose. And when it kinks, you might as well bid it adieu since it’s virtually unusable.

Disruptively Loud

The combination of a powerful motor, nondurable hose, and poor soundproofing inside of the canister unit results in obnoxiously loud vacuuming volume. At its peak, the 3760G produces a deafening 88 decibels of noise—almost double that of sticks, certain uprights, and even other canisters.

Of course, we can’t really blame it for being so loud, especially considering its heavy-duty 12-amp motor and amazing suction abilities, but for those with children or pets, this may not be the ideal canister vac for everyday use.

Verdict: Should I Get the Eureka 3670G Mighty Mite Corded Canister Vacuum?

As you can see from our review, the Eureka 3760G Mighty Mite Corded Canister Vacuum is indeed a powerful unit, but it’s far from perfect.

The least of your worries will be the loud sounds that the 12-amp motor generates, and if you’re not careful while twisting and turning the suction hose, you’ll have to start your search for a replacement hose (probably not Eureka-made).

Overall, it’s a fantastic canister vacuum, but there’s definitely room for improvement quality-wise.
