We’re going to be taking a look at the Eufy RoboVac 35C, and the ECOVACS DEEBOT N79S. Both of these are newer robot vacuums that come from reputable manufacturers, who have been manufacturing robot vacuums for quite some time.
In this comparison article, we’re going to be looking at the individual features and attributes that these robot vacuums offer. You’re going to learn all about the significance of these features, and the kinds of benefits and advantages they will give you.
Now, let’s get started by looking at the Eufy RoboVac 35C!
The Eufy RoboVac 35C
The Eufy RoboVac 35C is the newest robot vacuum that Eufy has released. This is an excellent robot vacuum that consists of a number of useful features, that make the vacuuming process very easy and efficient.
One of the best features that the Eufy RoboVac 35C offers is the “Boost IQ” feature. Using the Boost IQ feature, whenever the 35C is cleaning a surface, such as a hardwood floor, that doesn’t require a lot of suction power, it will adjust itself to accommodate that surface. But, when it moves from that surface to a much thicker surface, such as a rug, it will then automatically increase its suction power to accommodate that thicker surface. This means you don’t have to adjust any of the settings manually.
There is another really useful feature the 35C offers: Boundary Strips. Boundary Strips are fantastic because they serve as a mechanism for controlling where the vacuum cleans, and where it doesn’t clean, as well as enabling you to force the vacuum to clean one particular room or space thoroughly.
You take a Boundary Strip, or two, and you lay it down somewhere, and then you place the 35C within the confines of that Boundary Strip. This Boundary Strip sends out a signal that tells the vacuum to not go past it. So, if you want to thoroughly clean your bedroom, for example, you can lay out a Boundary Strip in the frame of the door, and it will spend the entirety of its battery-life cleaning that room, which ensures a very nice and very thorough clean.
As for basic features, the Eufy RoboVac 35C offers 1500Pa of suction, which is good for most surfaces, even rugs and carpets, as long as they aren’t too thick or dense. With Boost IQ technology, you can simply turn on the “Automatic Cleaning Mode” and it will adjust the suction speed that is being used, to accommodate the cleaning power that is needed, at any given moment.
The battery life is 100 minutes, which is pretty average for a robot vacuum. When vacuuming, the dirt, dust, and debris goes through a dual-layer filter, for the bigger particles, and single-layer particles, for the really small particles. Then, everything flows into a small dustbin that you can easily empty.
Using your smartphone or a Smart Home device – Google Home or Amazon Echo, more specifically – you can create custom schedules, turn on the vacuum, turn off the vacuum, and change the cleaning mode, at any time.

The ECOVACS DEEBOT N79S
In many ways, the ECOVACS DEEBOT N79S is very similar to the Eufy RoboVac 35C, but, there are a couple of key differences that must be mentioned, because they do make the vacuuming experience unique and extra effective.
Just like the Eufy RoboVac 35C, there is both smartphone and Smart Home functionality. You can use your smartphone to manually control the N79S, and you can also use it, and Amazon Echo or Google Home, to create a custom schedule, turn the vacuum on, turn it off, among other features and options.
Using your smartphone or Smart Home device, you can change the cleaning mode, and one of the cleaning modes that ECOVACS has included is that of “Max Mode”, which is a very powerful mode that makes it easy to clean most surfaces. However, it doesn’t clean thick carpets and rugs very easily, unfortunately, whereas the Eufy RoboVac 35C tends to have a much easier time doing so.
There are four different cleaning modes. Auto-Cleaning Mode, as well as Edge Cleaning Mode, Spot Cleaning Mode, Room Cleaning Mode, and, of course, Max Mode.
Room Cleaning Mode is useful because it enables you to tell the vacuum to clean a single room extra thoroughly. Rather than having to use a Boundary Strip, such as the ones found in the Eufy RoboVac 35C, so that’s one less device to fiddle with.
Due to the different cleaning modes, as well, you have a bit more flexibility when it comes to what, exactly, you clean, and how you clean it. Whereas the Eufy RoboVac 35C is still flexible, but it does lack the overall versatility of the N79S.
As for the other features, the N79S offers a total of 2 hours of battery life. It also consists of a three-stage cleaning system that is intensive and thorough, allowing everything to be properly filtered and disposed of, without anything flying into the air, due to poor filter design.
Other than those things, though, the ECOVACS DEEBOT N79S is a very similar vacuum, in comparison to the Eufy RoboVac 35C. There aren’t too many distinct differences, overall, and you won’t find any significant improvements, or downgrades, between either of these vacuums.

Conclusion
At the end of the day, these two vacuums are similar, but they are also different and unique in their own right.
If you want a robot vacuum with a longer battery life, the ECOVACS DEEBOT N79S is a better choice. But, if you want a robot vacuum that is more powerful, overall, then you can’t go wrong with the Eufy RoboVac 35C.
In terms of convenience, the ECOVACS DEEBOT N79S is a better choice, simply due to the multitude of different cleaning modes you have access to, and the fact that you can tell the vacuum to clean a single room, with the press of a button, rather than having to lay down Boundary Strips, like you do with the Eufy Robovac 35C.
