The Eufy RoboVac 35C is a budget-friendly solution to keep your floors clean without any headache or heartache.

Eufy 35C Robot Vacuum Review

It comes with all of the bells and whistles you’d expect from an entry-level bot and more. It does an excellent job at cleaning floors without blasting the music of its people throughout its 100-minute cleaning cycle.

Scroll down and see whether you should employ the 35C to patrol your home’s floors.

1,500-Pa Suction

The 35C features a powerful motor that can deliver up to 1,500 Pa of suction power at any given time. This provides the robot with the capabilities to vacuum low-pile carpeting with relative ease, though shaggy rugs may prove to be a challenge.

The lower cleaning mode should be used specifically on tiles and floorboards for improved battery life. By robotic vacuum cleaner standards, this isn’t the most powerful robot out there, but it does a decent job at cleaning all sorts of debris (dust, rice, cereal) in a single pass.

2nd Generation BoostIQ Technology

Something thing may astound you about this budget-friendly vacuum bot is its ability to automatically adjust suction pressure depending on what surface it’s currently treading on. When the sensors pick up carpeted floors, BoostIQ Technology kicks the robot’s motor into high gear to deliver the most power for the best cleaning results.

When transitioning to smooth floors, it brings it down a notch to ensure maximum cleaning times while maintaining satisfactory cleanliness.

Triple-Filter Action

The worst thing about vacuuming is that dust tends to leak out of the cup/bag and scatter back onto your floors when shot out of the exhaust, but thanks to the 35C’s three-stage filtration system, this is not a major concern.

The system consists of dual pre-filters that trap large debris and a high-performance filter to capture the tiniest specks of dust. Everything suctioned into the 35C stays in the 0.6-liter dust cup and has no chance of escape.

100-minute Runtime

Robotic vacuum cleaners are all about battery life. The bigger the battery, generally speaking, the more surface area it can cover per charge. The 35C is powered by a beefy 2,600-mAh battery that supplies up to 100 minutes of continuous cleaning on low mode, but the actual runtime depends on how often BoostIQ technology needs to switch between cleaning speeds.

When the battery drops to at least 20%, it will attempt to head back to its charging station to refuel—a process that can take a little under five hours to complete.

Random Pattern Navigation

The 35C does not come with specialized navigation software so its movement route is somewhat randomized. When it detects obstacles or cliffs, it tucks tail and heads in another direction.

This can make the auto-recharge function somewhat problematic, and more often than not, users will need to use the Find My Robot feature on the smartphone app (more on the 35C’s controls in a bit).

6.6-foot Boundary Strips

As an affordable robotic vacuum cleaner, you can’t reasonably expect the 35C to come with the latest navigation tech such as digital map creation and zone cleaning. To keep the robot confined to a limited space, or to prevent it from bumping into fragile obstacles like pet bowls or vases, you can lay the Boundary strips onto your floors.

With the 35C, you’ll get 6.6 feet of black strip to work with. Though “primitive” by today’s standards, the boundary strips work like a charm.

As Quiet as a Microwave

On its higher cleaning speed, the 35C produces a relatively quiet 55 decibels of noise. This is about the same noise output level of a microwave so it shouldn’t be too disruptive to children and pets.

In fact, other common household noises will probably drown own the 35C’s continuous hum so in a practical sense, it’s virtually noiseless.

Remote Control and Wi-Fi Compatibility

There are three methods of controlling and setting up 35C’s programmable features (other than manually pressing buttons), namely, remote control (the kit comes with batteries), voice control via Alexa, and the downloadable smartphone app. With three ways of controlling the bot, you’ll always be in charge of what the robot is doing.

Verdict: Should I Get the Eufy 35C Robot Vacuum?

The Eufy 35C is an excellent budget-friendly robotic vacuum cleaner. Sure, it doesn’t have the top-tier convenience-adding features like auto-resume, but its cleaning performance is truly remarkable. Navigation can be a bit iffy, but that’s why you Eufy included the Find My Robot feature in the smartphone app.

Overall, it’s a great vacuum bot—especially for first-time buyers—that will eliminate the painstaking chore of vacuuming in any home or apartment.
