With the rising cost of professional pool cleaning services, it’s no wonder why an increasing number of pool owners are looking for a less expensive, automated alternative. The answer, ladies and gentlemen, is right in front of our eyes: Maytronics.

DOLPHIN Nautilus CC Supreme Automatic Robotic Pool Cleaner

They’re one of the few manufacturers of robotic pool cleaners, and they’ve surpassed what little competition they have by a wide margin.

One of their models, the Dolphin Nautilus CC Supreme, showcases some of the best state-of-the-art technology that only Maytronics can provide.

Supreme performance is not a question with the Nautilus CC Supreme—expect your pools to be perfectly cleaned every time the Nautilus gets to work.

Cleaning Performance

As we mentioned earlier, the Nautilus CC Supreme’s cleaning performance is off the charts. This is hardly a surprise seeing as how it rocks the Maytronics Dolphin brand, but it’s an enjoyable robot nonetheless.

Everything about the robot supports perfect cleaning every single time.

The Nautilus CC Supreme is equipped with dual cyclone motors that drive not one, not two, but three active brushrolls. The front and back brushrolls scrubs extra-hard to remove algae and dirt from the base and walls of your pool while the central brush sweeps debris into the suction inlet.

The triple-threat, intense scrubbing action of the Nautilus CC Supreme is unparalleled by anything from any brand.

And that’s not all. The Nautilus is able to climb vertically to scrub away at your pool’s waterline, leaving it looking absolutely spotless from above. Every submerged inch of your pool will end up looking as clean as the day it was first built.

Unobstructed Mobility

The Nautilus CC Supreme comes pre-installed with IntelliScan Technology that utilizes multiple sensors to create a digital layout.

It then uses advanced calculations to create the most efficient cleaning route in your pool, ensuring that every second it spends underwater is hardly spent on multiple passes over the same area.

The Nautilus also uses Maytronics’ patented anti-tangle swivel cord that allows the robot to twist and turn without damaging the cord.

The power cord is long enough to support unhindered mobility underwater in pools of up to 50 feet in length.

Combined with the high-traction tracks, the Nautilus is able to climb up pool walls and stairs with relative ease.

The tracks, however, do appear to be a bit loose and may fall off from time to time. Also, the robot doesn’t clean that well on stairs (no robots can as far as we know) since it has trouble adjusting to sudden changes in terrain.

Convenient Controls from Anywhere

Like most advanced modern robotic pool cleaners, the Nautilus CC Supreme doesn’t just rely on pushing buttons on the control module to get work done.

With the downloadable smartphone app and an internet connection, the Nautilus will be able to receive commands from wherever you are in the world.

Apart from starting and stopping, you’re able to set up weekly cleaning schedules and choose between the three available cleaning times (between 1.5 and 3.5 hours).

The robot needs to be submerged underwater at all times in order for the cleaning schedule to work properly.

One unusual feature the app offers is manual steering. Using your phone as a controller, you can navigate the Nautilus CC Supreme manually to scrub any spots it may have missed (navigation software is not perfect).

However, the controls are awkward, and depending on the internet connection, lag times can be downright infuriating.

Dual XL Filters

Debris can end up choking a robotic pool cleaner if it can’t separate them properly or at all. Good thing the Nautilus CC Supreme come with two XL filters—one net screen for trapping large debris and a pleated polyester filter for finer debris.

They catch anything and everything that the inlet sucks up so they don’t end up back on the base of your pool.

The filters are accessible by opening a tiny latch on top of the robot which simplifies the task of dumping the contents out and cleaning them.

A quick spray with a hose will easily remove all particles; after that, just slide them back in the unit, place it back in your pool, and it’s ready for the next round of cleaning.

Verdict: Is the Dolphin Nautilus CC Supreme Worth It?

Absolutely. There’s no reason to doubt the awesome pool-cleaning performance of the Nautilus CC Supreme in pool of up to 50 feet in length. Everything about this machine is overkill, from its top-loaded filter baskets to its triple-action brushes.

Even though its self-sufficient in terms of navigation, users will definitely enjoy steering the robot manually.
